Acetylacetone oxyvanadium [VO(acac)2] is a common oxidation catalyst, which combines with tert-butyl hydrogen peroxide (TBHP) and other oxidants to rapidly oxidize into homogeneous 5-valent vanadium compounds under the reaction system, which can effectively oxidize a variety of organic functional groups, such as tertiary amine oxidation to N-oxide, sulfide oxidation to sulfoxide, epoxidation of olefins and other reactions, especially can carry out regional and chiral oxidation.
