Leucocrystal Violet CV 603-48-5

Hidden crystal violet is the main metabolite produced by the metabolic transformation of crystal violet in living organisms. Crystal violet belongs to the triphenylmethane class of industrial dyes. Since the 1930s, it has been widely used as an in vitro insecticide, fungicide, and disinfectant in the aquaculture industry. Especially effective in treating proliferative kidney disease (PKD) in fish. Due to animal experiments proving that crystal violet has potential teratogenic, carcinogenic, and mutagenic effects on humans and animals, many countries have listed crystal violet as a banned drug in aquaculture due to its harmfulness. Hidden crystal violet (standard) is mainly used for the determination of residual crystal violet in aquatic products; The standard substance for the analysis method of hidden crystal violet in acetonitrile can be used for confirmation and evaluation, instrument calibration, and measurement quality control in fields such as food, hygiene, and environment.
