Diphenylacetonitrile is white to light yellow crystalline powder, slightly soluble in water. Mainly used as organic synthesis intermediates (such as antihistamine drugs, pesticides), photoinitiators and precursors for liquid crystal materials, the conjugated structure of its cyano and benzene ring gives high reactivity. It should be kept away from light and moisture, and avoid contact with strong acid and alkali.
