Dodecyl/tetradecyl dimethyl tertiary amine (C12-14 alkyl dimethyl tertiary amine) is a tertiary amine compound composed of a mixture of dodecyl and tetradecyl groups, and it belongs to the intermediate of surfactants. ‌

It is a colorless to slightly yellow transparent liquid at room temperature, insoluble in water, but readily soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and isopropanol. It has typical tertiary amine characteristics and is weakly alkaline. ‌

It is mainly used for the preparation of disinfectants (such as 1227), betaine, amine oxide, quaternary ammonium salts and other surfactants, and is widely applied in daily chemicals, textiles, oil fields and other fields, exerting functions such as anti-corrosion, sterilization, antistatic and emulsification. ‌
