HEDP is an organic phosphonic acid scale and corrosion inhibitor that can form stable complexes with various metal ions such as iron, copper, and zinc, and can dissolve oxides on the metal surface. It can still play a good role in corrosion and scale inhibition at 250°C, is still very stable at high pH, is not easy to hydrolyze, and is not easy to decompose under general light and heat conditions. It has better acid and alkali resistance and chlorine oxidation resistance than other organic phosphonic acids (salts). It can form a six-ring chelate with metal ions in water, especially calcium ions, so it has a good scale inhibition effect and a significant solubility limit effect. When used in combination with other water treatment agents, it shows an ideal synergistic effect.
HEDP solid is a high-purity product, suitable for severe cold areas in winter; especially suitable for cleaning agents and daily chemical additives in the electronics industry.
HEDP is widely used in industrial circulating cooling water systems such as electric power, chemical industry, metallurgy, fertilizer, etc., as well as scale and corrosion inhibition for medium and low pressure boilers, oil field water injection and oil pipelines; in the textile industry, it can be used as a cleaning agent for metals and non-metals, a peroxide stabilizer and color fixer in the bleaching and dyeing industry, a complexing agent in the cyanide-free electroplating industry, and a carrier of radioactive elements in the pharmaceutical industry.

HEDP is generally used at a concentration of 1-10 mg/L as a scale inhibitor, 10-50 mg/L as a corrosion inhibitor, and 1000-2000 mg/L as a cleaning agent. It is usually used in combination with polycarboxylic acid scale inhibitors and dispersants. When used in other industries, the dosage should be determined based on tests.
HEDP liquid is packed in plastic barrels, 30Kg or 250Kg per barrel; HEDP solid is packed in plastic woven bags lined with polyethylene bags, net weight of each bag is 25kg, which can also be determined according to user needs. Store in a cool and ventilated place indoors, moisture-proof, storage period is 12 months.
HEDP is acidic. Pay attention to labor protection when operating it. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, etc. After contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
