Sodium lauroyl sarcosinate, English name SODIUMLAUROYLSARCOSINATE, also known as sodium lauroyl-N-methylaminoacetate and sodium dodecoyl-N-methylglycinate. Sodium lauroyl sarcosinate is mainly used as an anti-static, foaming agent, cleaning agent, and surfactant in cosmetics and skincare products. It has a risk factor of 3, is relatively safe, and can be used with confidence. It generally has no effect on pregnant women and does not cause acne. The FDA has approved sodium lauroyl sarcosinate for direct use as a food additive, while CIR allows it to be used in rinse off and resident products at concentrations not exceeding 5%.
