Sodium lauroyl glutamate is a weak acid compound, which has a buffering effect in the pH range of 4.5~6.5. Its foam is rich, fine, soft, and comfortable when washing. It also has a good cleaning power at the pH value of 5.5. Long term use will not damage the acid-base balance of the skin. The essence of a cleansing cream mainly composed of sodium lauroyl glutamate is to thicken it through self crystallization. At a pH of around 5.5, the solubility of sodium lauroyl glutamate aqueous solution is less than 0.05g/100mL at 25 ℃, and greater than 30g/100mL at 75 ℃. Using this characteristic, dissolve at high temperature first, and then cool down to precipitate the solid. When solid precipitates, it will encapsulate or adsorb free water in the system, increasing the viscosity of the system into a paste like state.
