Rose Oil (Rose Otto / Rose Absolute) is Steam-distilled or solvent-extracted from fresh Rosa damascena (Damask rose) petals. Key components include citronellol, geraniol, nerol, and phenyl ethanol. Aroma is deep, sweet, floral, and honey-like with a rich, warm undertone. Commonly used in skincare (dry, mature skin) and luxury perfumery. True rose oil is very concentrated (approx. 3–5 tons of petals for 1 kg of oil) and is often diluted in a carrier oil for safe topical application.
