It can perform monofluorination reactions on electron rich aromatic compounds, enol silyl ethers, enol lithium salts, etc. The current research hotspots include the Nazarov cyclization reaction catalyzed by iron or cobalt to form a five membered ring, and the asymmetric catalysis of enantioselective alpha fluorination.
