Manganese (II) chloride (CAS: 7773-01-5) is a common inorganic salt, usually referring to an anhydrous substance, with the molecular formula MnCl ₂ and a molecular weight of approximately 125.84. It appears as pink crystals at room temperature and has strong hygroscopicity. It is easily soluble in water and melts at around 650 ℃. It needs to be sealed and stored under dry conditions. In industry, it is mainly used as a catalyst for organic chlorination reactions, a paint drying agent, and a raw material for gasoline shock absorbers; In addition, it is also used in fields such as feed additives, analytical reagents, dye manufacturing, aluminum alloy smelting, and dry battery production.
