Fluorosilicic acid, also known as hydrofluorosilicic acid. The anhydrous form is a colourless gas. It is unstable and readily decomposes into silicon tetrafluoride and hydrogen fluoride. Its aqueous solution is colourless and exhibits strongly acidic properties. It is corrosive and can etch glass. It should be stored in containers made of wax or plastic.
