Molecular formula:KOH
Relative molecular mass:56.11
Appearance:
The product is available in two forms: solid and solution.
Solid: white or light gray flakes.
Solution: yellow liquid.
Use: Potassium hydroxide is primarily used as a raw material for the production of potassium salts, such as potassium permanganate and potassium carbonate. In light industry, it is used in the production of potassium soap, alkaline batteries, and cosmetics (such as cold cream, vanishing cream, and shampoo). In the dyeing industry, it is used to produce vat dyes, such as Vat Blue RSN. In the electrochemical industry, it is used in electroplating and engraving. In the textile industry, it is used in printing, dyeing, bleaching, and mercerizing, and is widely used as a major raw material for manufacturing synthetic fibers and polyester fibers. Additionally, it is used as a heating agent in metallurgy and for degreasing leather.
