1. Performance and use:

HPMA generally has a relative molecular weight of 400-800, is non-toxic, easily soluble in water, has high chemical and thermal stability, and a decomposition temperature of above 330°C.

HPMA is suitable for alkaline environments.

Due to its excellent scale inhibition and high temperature resistance, HPMA is widely used in flash evaporation devices for seawater desalination, low-pressure boilers, and industrial circulating cooling water. In addition, HPMA has a certain corrosion inhibition effect, and the corrosion inhibition effect is better when combined with zinc salts.

HPMA can also be used as a cement admixture and saline-alkali soil conditioner.

3. Usage

When HPMA is used alone, the concentration is generally 1-15 mg/L. It is often compounded with organic phosphonates for circulating cooling water treatment and in-furnace treatment of low-pressure boilers. It has a good effect of inhibiting scale formation and stripping old scale, and the scale inhibition rate can reach 98%. After EDTMPS and HPMA are compounded in a ratio of 1:3, it can be used for in-furnace water treatment of low-pressure boilers; when HPMA is compounded with zinc salts, it can effectively prevent the corrosion of carbon steel.

4. Packaging and storage

HPMA is acidic. Pay attention to labor protection when operating it. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, etc. Rinse with plenty of water after contact.

5. Safety protection

HPMA is packaged in plastic barrels, 25kg per barrel or as determined by the user. The storage period is twelve months.
