HEDP·Na is an organic phosphonic acid scale inhibitor that can form stable complexes with various metal ions such as iron, copper, and zinc, and can dissolve oxides on the metal surface. It can still play a good role in corrosion and scale inhibition at 250°C, is still very stable at high pH, is not easy to hydrolyze, and is not easy to decompose under general light and heat conditions. It has better acid and alkali resistance and chlorine oxidation resistance than other organic phosphonic acids (salts). It can form a six-ring chelate with metal ions in water, especially calcium ions, so it has a good scale inhibition effect and a significant solubility limit effect. When used in combination with other water treatment agents, it shows an ideal synergistic effect.

HEDP·Na is suitable for scale inhibitors and detergents with acidic formulas. HEDP·Na is the monosodium salt of hydroxyethylidene diphosphonic acid, which is suitable for applications in metal cleaning, metal treatment, and metal ion control.

HEDP·Na is widely used in industrial circulating cooling water systems such as electric power, chemical industry, metallurgy, fertilizer, etc., as well as scale and corrosion inhibition in medium and low pressure boilers, oil field water injection and oil pipelines; HEDP·Na can be used as a cleaning agent for metals and non-metals in the textile industry, a peroxide stabilizer and color fixative in the bleaching and dyeing industry, and a complexing agent in the cyanide-free electroplating industry.

As a scale inhibitor, the concentration is generally 2-20 mg/L; as a corrosion inhibitor, the concentration is generally 20-100 mg/L; HEDP·Na is generally used as a cleaning agent at a concentration of 1000-2000 mg/L, and is usually used in combination with polycarboxylic acid scale inhibitors and dispersants.

HEDP·Na is packed in plastic barrels, 30kg or 250kg per barrel, which can also be determined according to user needs. Stored in a cool place indoors, the storage period is ten months.
